Well, this one didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted it, but like I’ve said, next month will be all about re-writing and tweaking. This month is about quantity, so here’s another day crossed off.

Warriors calling motels home

Same old stick, day in, day out

Rollin’, rollin’ on through town

Set lists, napkin requests

“We’ve never played it before, but we’ll try our best”

From the true fans, singing every word

To the village drunks yelling “Free Bird”

Out rockin’ ‘til 2 AM

Puttin’ hearts, souls, on the line

For a new crowd each night

Here’s to the wives

Tellin’ stories at bedtime

Kids, and the things they ask

Like “where’s daddy, when’s he comin’ back?”

Deleting the “I miss you” texts

Sending “You’ve got this” instead

Canceling date for band practice

Believing in the magic
