May Songwriting Challenge- Day 15; Sit Pretty
Okay y’all, this is my “all caught up” post! Hopefully I can stay more on-top of things for the rest of the challenge. Even though it has been stressful at times, it’s been a blast to get back into writing! This one is going to be super sassy!

V1:
I smoke, ev’ry now and then
Hit the bottle like a sailor, just docked in
After a long, long tour
And I’ve got the mouth to match, no I’m not your
PCH:
Average girl, a delicate daisy
That ain’t how the good Lord made me
CH:
I might kick, scream, cuss, fight
Fly the bird, stay out all night
If that rubs your wrong, well forgive me
But we’ve only got one trip
So what’s wrong with living it
Go on, eat cake, drink whiskey
Life’s too short to just sit pretty
V2:
I’ve got tattoos, in secret places
Drive like I’m NASCAR racin’
Sure I tone it down from 9 to 5
But when the clock strikes quitting time
PCH:
My inner rebel comes out to play
I don’t know any other way
CH:
I might kick, scream, cuss, fight
Fly the bird, stay out all night
If that rubs your wrong, well forgive me
But we’ve only got one trip
So, what’s wrong with living it
Go on, eat cake, drink whiskey
Life ’s too short to just sit pretty
BR:
When St. Peter calls me up to heaven’s front step
I’ll rest in peace knowing I had no regrets
CH:
I might kick, scream, cuss, fight
Fly the bird, stay out all night
If that rubs your wrong, well forgive me
But we’ve only got one trip
So, what’s wrong with living it
Go on, eat cake, drink whiskey
Life ’s too short to just sit pretty
Yeah, we’ve only got on trip
So, what’s wrong with living it
Go on, eat cake, drink whiskey
Life ’s too short to just sit pretty
