Well, after a very hectic week I found myself facing writers block again. It didn't just affect my writiing, it had an impact on everything. Between dealing with drama and dealing with school and trying to ride everyday, and trying to write, I was completely overwhelmed. So in an attempt to vent my frustrations, I picked up a pen and a piece of paper, locked the doors, and just began to jot down some feeling that I had. Writers block conquered.

Sometimes I find myself hiding away
In my little hometown bar
'Cause under the glow of the neon lights
No one can see my battle scars
And with another round
I start hopin that drink can
Make a little sense of
The things I don't understand
Why a so called honest man
Could just walk out
And forget about the woman he said
He couldn't live without
Why all it took was a tall redhead
To pull that ring off of his hand
That's just one of those things
I'll never understand
I throw some quarters in the jukebox
Wander back to my seat
Let that ole steel guitar
Stir up some memories
And before I know it
All that's left is ice
Not only in the glass
But in this heart of mine
I'll never get how your best friend
Could change their mind just like that
How someone can take pleasure
In stabbing you in the back
How decency is a thing of the past
Like an hourglass drained of sand
Yeah, it's one of those things
I'll never understand
There are so many things I'll never understand
So I'll just hide away
In my little hometown bar
'Cause under the glow of the neon lights
No one can see my battle scars
