Harder Tomorrow

Ev'ry now and then, she sets her ring on the dresser
Never thought it'd be so easy, for him to forget her
She'd love nothing more, than to pack all his things
But she can't seem to throw away the memories

She'll try a little harder tomorrow
As it all comes crashing down
She'd love to pick up the pieces
But it's too late now
So she'll find her strength
In a whiskey bottle
And tell the woman in the mirror
"I'll try a little harder tomorrow"

It gets to the point, where she just leaves it on the pillow
While ev'rything inside her screams "it's time to let go"
Just when she thinks that it's all behind her
That gold band serves as a reminder

She'll try a little harder tomorrow
As it all comes crashing down
She'd love to pick up the pieces
But it's too late now
So she'll find her strength
In a whiskey bottle
And tell the woman in the mirror
"I'll try a little harder tomorrow"

She'll catch her breath, and wipe her eyes
As she hears his car pull in the drive
And do her best to pretend
That she doesn't smell the perfume as he crawls into bed

She'll try a little harder tomorrow
To stand her ground
She'd love to pick up the pieces
But it's too late now
She'll no longer drown her pain
In a whiskey bottle
Yeah the woman in the mirror
Will try a little harder tomorrow

She'll try a little harder tomorrow
