The Challenge

I do not write songs for money. I do not write songs to impress anyone. I write because I enjoy it. I began compising lyrics in my teenage years and, although I went through some dry spells, it stuck with me. After meeting some amazing individuals at a songwriting forum, I decided to further pursue my hobby. I do not expect to write a hit, although it would be nice. In the next year, I plan on pushing myself further than I ever have before. After reading about the FAWM challenge, I became inspired. While I am participating in that challenge, I did not want it to end on February 28th. So, as an extension to the FAWM project, I challenge myself to write 100 lyrics in one year. Now, I will admit, many of them will not even be worth reading. But maybe, just maybe, I will be able to craft something that others can relate to and enjoy. The challenge will begin tomorrow. Hold on to your hats. It may be a wild ride.
